The organisation has a simple and accessible complaints procedure which aims at reducing the likelihood of abuse.
There is a robust monitoring system which includes supervision (where staff knowledge about safeguarding and abuse are retested.
There is also feedback mechanism from service users and staff towards the effectiveness of safeguarding policy in place.
We also have arrangement in place for spot checks and visits to staff at work which enables the management to assess the service delivery and also observe the service users and staff for any sign of direct or indirect discrimination or abuse.
The company maintains high standard of disciplinary procedures to ensure staff maintains high quality of service delivery. Staff who falls below expected levels or suspected of any unsafe practices will be dealt with according to the lay down disciplinary procedures.
It is mandatory for all new staff to have an induction period of at least seven days, to include the mandatory training, essential training and shadowing.
It is also mandatory for all members of staff to obtain a satisfactory DBS/Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau/police check and supply two checkable references before employment commences.
All our care staff must be trained at least with the Care Certificate before starting to work on their own and it is a condition of all staff contract to gain a minimum of level 2 QCF (NVQ) diploma in care within 12 months of employment.
It is also a condition of employment for all staff to participate in free mandatory and non-mandatory training as well as refresher training that we offer all staff free of charge.

CarerHouse has very easy complaint procedures and we take complaints very seriously, no matter how less serious it may appears.
Our ability to show carer time on site, track visit times, advise of carer whereabouts, consistency with who the carer is, and commitment to training and development put CarerHouse ahead of others.
CarerHouse is registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. It is our topmost priority to exceed National Minimum Standards in health care practice and comply with all CQC ‘Essential Standards of Quality and Safety 2010.
